Dr. Serra also serves as Co-Chairman of the President’s Counsel on International Activities at Yale University. Dr. Serra’s background as an economist, as well as his government service, qualify him as a Director of the Fund. The members of the Fund’s Contract Review Committee are Messrs. Clariond, Carrillo Gamboa, González, Knauss, Serra and Shapiro. Dr. Serra is the Chairman of the Contract Review Committee. The Fund pays each Director, with the exception of Mr. Gómez Pimienta (who is not compensated for his services as Director), an annual retainer of $20,000. Effective December 2010, this annual retainer was increased to its pre-2009 level of $24,000. In addition, the Fund pays each director with the exception of Mr. Gómez Pimienta $2,000 per in-person Board meeting attended. The Fund also reimburses all Directors and officers of the Fund for out-of-pocket expenses relating to attendance at meetings.
