In 1991 he was awarded the Young Investigator Award as the most promising health services researcher in the country under age 40 by the Association for Health Services Research. He has authored multiple articles and books on healthcare financing, insurance and healthcare reform. Dr. Thorpe received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, Master of Arts degree from Duke University, and Ph.D. from the Rand Graduate School. |
