In addition to his executive leadership, Dr. Quarles is a well-respected member of the laser development community globally with over 35 years of experience since the award of his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. He is a Fellow in both Optica and SPIE and a Senior Member of IEEE and received the Memorial D.S. Rozhdestvensky Medal from the Russian Optical Society (2015). In 2016, he joined the Oklahoma State University CAS Hall of Fame, and in 1996 received the R&D 100 Award for the Ce:LiSAF Laser System.
