Following the acquisition of Spectrum Foods by Saga Corp. (NYSE) in 1984, Mr. Mindel served as President of Saga's restaurant group where he directed the operations of more than 200 restaurants with combined revenue of over $375 million. Following his departure from Saga in 1986, he founded and served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Il Fornaio, a restaurant company he took public in 1997 (subsequently taken private in 2001) and on whose board of directors he served until July 2011.
